Our Motion 5 Electric Adjustable Drop-In Slatted Bed Base has been developed for customers who want the comfort and health benefits of an electric adjustable bed while keeping their existing bed frame.
Whether you're replacing a worn-out bed base or building a completely new bed, our made-to-order drop-in slatted bed bases are manufactured to fit your exact dimensions. Simply remove your existing base and drop the new adjustable bed base into your bed frame—no modifications or complicated installation required.
Manufactured in our UK workshop, every bed base is built to order using premium beech timber, German drive technology and our exclusive Fifth-Generation sprung slat suspension system.
Five-Section Electric Adjustment
Unlike simpler adjustable bed bases, the Motion 5 features a five-section articulated platform that provides excellent support and comfort.
The five sections consist of:
- Neck section
- Back support section
- Fixed centre section
- Thigh support section
- Calf and foot support section
The centre section remains fixed, providing a stable seating position while the other sections move smoothly around it.
Two powerful electric motors control the movement:

Motor 1 adjusts the head, neck and back sections.

Motor 2 adjusts the thigh, calf and foot sections.
Both motors can be operated independently, allowing you to raise either the upper body or lower body separately, or combine both movements to achieve your preferred sleeping, reading or relaxation position.
Whether you're sitting up to read, watching television, easing swollen legs or simply finding a more comfortable sleeping position, the Motion 5 offers smooth and precise adjustment at the touch of a button.
Please note: The Motion 5 is a five-section bed base, but it does not have individual motors for every section. The neck section automatically moves with the back section, and the calf section automatically moves with the thigh section, giving smooth ergonomic support using two independently controlled motors.
Designed for One or Two Sleepers
Our Motion 5 bed bases are available for both single sleepers and dual-sleeper beds.
For dual beds, each sleeper receives their own adjustable bed base and independent remote control, allowing each person to find their own comfortable position without disturbing their partner.
One person can remain completely flat while the other sits upright.
For couples who prefer both sides to move together, an optional Link Cable is available when choosing the Smart Wireless Bluetooth Remote, allowing both bed bases to operate in perfect synchronisation.
