Solid Beech Bed Slats for Strong Mattress Support
Our Drop-In Flat Beech Slatted Bed Base is constructed using premium solid beech bed slats, providing a strong and durable support system for your mattress. Designed to sit neatly inside a bed frame, this drop-in slatted base offers a reliable and long-lasting alternative to traditional webbed slat systems.
The beech slats run horizontally across the width of the bed frame, while two vertical support rails run the length of the base, keeping all slats securely aligned and evenly spaced.
This design creates a stable and rigid slatted base that provides excellent mattress support while remaining easy to install.
Strong Bolt-Fixed Slatted Construction
Each beech slat is predrilled using a counterbore drill bit, ensuring the bolt heads sit neatly flush within the wood surface so they do not protrude.
The two vertical support rails include steel threaded inserts, allowing the bolts to secure firmly into the base while preventing wear to the timber over time.
For additional strength:
- The top and bottom slats are secured with two bolts on each side
- The remaining slats are fixed with one bolt per slat
This fixing system creates a very strong and rigid slatted bed base, significantly stronger than many webbed slat systems.

Unlike traditional webbed bed slats, where the slats are connected by fabric and can move over time, this base secures each slat firmly in position.
