Our Flats Bed Slats are available in both Solid Pine and premium Beech. Pine is the most popular choice on the market today, and is durable and inexpensive, making it ideal for every-day use. However If you’d rather opt for a premium alternative, our beech bed slats could be for you.
However Beech slats are more of an investment than pine. You are able to purchase both our Pine and Beech bed slats individually or in Sets. Our flat bed slat sets are webbed together and available in various slat options to meet your exact requirements. The gap between your slats is extremely important and could invalidate your mattress warranty if the space in between the slats is too big.Furthermore, although our pine and beech slats are available in all standard UK and European bed sizes.
We know when it comes to Bed Slats there are no standard sizes; if your mattress is sitting within your bed frame your slats will be larger than if your bed frame was the same size as the Mattress. Therefore take advantage of our FREE cutting service.Perhaps you have an unusual bed size and need a custom measurement for a perfect fit? By simply opting for the next biggest size, we can trim the slats down to the exact size you require.

All you need to do is roll them out and attach the top, middle, and bottom sections to the bed frame. These sets often come with pre-drilled pilot holes, making attachment quick and easy. Consider your specific requirements and the extent of the replacements needed to make the decision that best suits your situation.

Yes, pine slats generally need to be attached to the bed frame for proper support. The method of attachment may vary depending on the type of slats you have: 1. Individual Slats: Each slat needs to be attached individually to the bed frame. We recommend using screws for this purpose. Before attaching the slat, it is advisable to create pilot holes on the slat. These pilot holes will make it easier to insert the screws without splitting the wood. 2. Roll-out Webbed Set: When we manufacture our roll-out webbed sets, we already pilot hole the top, middle, and bottom slats for easy attachment. This means that you simply need to roll out the webbed set onto the bed frame, align it properly, and attach the top, middle, and bottom slats using screws. Remember to choose appropriate screws that are suitable for the thickness and type of wood in your bed frame. This will ensure secure attachment and optimal support for the slats.

In certain cases, it may be possible to use wider slats on your bed frame without any issues, depending on its design. However, if you specifically require 70mm width slats, we can accommodate your request. We offer a service to machine the slats to a smaller width upon request. Are central rails (mid rails) required for your pine bed slats?+ -
Central rails (mid rails) are not necessary for Single 2ft 6 and Single 3ft bed sizes as the slats provide sufficient support on their own. However, for bed sizes above 950mm, such as Small Double 4ft, Double 4ft 6, King-size 5ft, and Super King size 6ft, we highly recommend adding a central rail for optimal support and stability.
