Should I purchase individual Pine bed slats or a webbed set?+ -
When it comes to choosing between individual Pine bed slats or a webbed set, the decision depends on your specific needs and circumstances. If you only have a few broken slats that need replacement, we recommend purchasing individual slats. This allows you to replace only the damaged ones, saving you both time and money. However, if you are replacing all your existing slats or building a new bed frame, webbed sets can be an ideal option. With a webbed set, the slats are pre-arranged and evenly spaced. All you need to do is roll them out and attach the top, middle, and bottom sections to the bed frame. These sets often come with pre-drilled pilot holes, making attachment quick and easy. Consider your specific requirements and the extent of the replacements needed to make the decision that best suits your situation.
Do flat slats need to be attached to the bed frame? If so, how can I do this?+ -
Yes, pine slats generally need to be attached to the bed frame for proper support. The method of attachment may vary depending on the type of slats you have: 1. Individual Slats: Each slat needs to be attached individually to the bed frame. We recommend using screws for this purpose. Before attaching the slat, it is advisable to create pilot holes on the slat. These pilot holes will make it easier to insert the screws without splitting the wood. 2. Roll-out Webbed Set: When we manufacture our roll-out webbed sets, we already pilot hole the top, middle, and bottom slats for easy attachment. This means that you simply need to roll out the webbed set onto the bed frame, align it properly, and attach the top, middle, and bottom slats using screws. Remember to choose appropriate screws that are suitable for the thickness and type of wood in your bed frame. This will ensure secure attachment and optimal support for the slats.
I noticed that your individual pine bed slats are 93mm wide, but I require 70mm. Can you assist me?+ -
In certain cases, it may be possible to use wider slats on your bed frame without any issues, depending on its design. However, if you specifically require 70mm width slats, we can accommodate your request. We offer a service to machine the slats to a smaller width upon request. You can find more details about this service on the product page under step 2. Please let us know your requirements, and we will be happy to assist you further in obtaining the desired 70mm width bed slats.
Are central rails (mid rails) required for your pine bed slats?+ -
Central rails (mid rails) are not necessary for Single 2ft 6 and Single 3ft bed sizes as the slats provide sufficient support on their own. However, for bed sizes above 950mm, such as Small Double 4ft, Double 4ft 6, King-size 5ft, and Super King size 6ft, we highly recommend adding a central rail for optimal support and stability.
I need to replace the Flat bed slats for my standard 5ft bed frame. What should I order?+ -
When it comes to replacing your Flat bed slats for a standard 5ft bed frame, it is important to note that there are no universal standard sizes for the length of pine bed slats. Each bed frame can have different dimensions and requirements. It is not uncommon for a bed manufacturer to order multiple sizes of bed slats for a single king-size bed frame. To ensure you order the correct size of replacement bed slats for your specific bed frame, we recommend measuring the existing slats or the space within the bed frame where the slats will be placed. This will give you the most accurate measurements to determine the length and width of the slats you need.
